Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Timmy who loved to explore. Timmy was curious and brave—well, almost brave. He lived in a small cottage right on the edge of a huge magical forest. The trees were so tall they tickled the clouds, and sometimes, if you listened closely, you could hear the forest giggle, whisper, and sing. But Timmy wasn’t sure about the forest. The branches looked twisty and strange in the moonlight, and sometimes shadows would dance between the trunks. Other children told spooky stories about what lived inside. Timmy always watched the woods from his window, wondering if the stories were real. One bright morning, Timmy’s favorite red ball bounced away—right into the magical forest! He watched it roll, roll, roll, until it disappeared. Timmy’s heart thumped. He knew he had to get his ball, but the forest looked extra shadowy today. He squeezed his teddy bear...
